    • A Very Special Visit

      Published 15/12/25

There has been great excitement and lots of festive cheer at Whaley Thorns Primary School as our F1 children enjoyed a very special visit from Santa Claus! The school was filled with smiles, laughter and a real sense of Christmas magic as Santa took time out of his busy schedule to meet our youngest learners.

The children were thrilled to see Santa arrive and listened eagerly as he spoke to them about Christmas, kindness and the importance of being good friends. Many of the children confidently shared their Christmas wishes, while others were simply delighted to wave, smile and soak up the festive atmosphere.

The visit created a wonderful opportunity for the children to practise their listening and speaking skills, as well as build excitement and confidence in a calm, joyful setting. Staff were incredibly proud of how well the children behaved and how warmly they welcomed Santa into their classroom. Moments like these help to create lasting memories and add to the rich experiences we aim to provide at Whaley Thorns Primary School.

A big thank you to everyone who helped make this visit possible and to Santa for bringing so much joy to our F1 children. It was truly a magical experience and a perfect way to start the festive season!

    • Visit from the Local MP

      Published 03/12/25

Last Friday, we had the pleasure of welcoming Natalie Fleet, MP, to their site.

Natalie spent time explaining her role as a Member of Parliament and sharing valuable insights into the work an MP does both in Westminster and throughout our local community. Her visit helped give everyone a clearer understanding of how the role of an MP supports local people, organisations, and key issues across the area.

She also led an engaging Q&A session, giving the pupils the opportunity to hear directly from her and learn more about the topics that matter most to our community.

A big thank you to Natalie for taking the time to visit and for her continued dedication to supporting our area.
